Macy Gardner

Young midcourter Gardner is back as a fulltime player in 2023 having held a contract previously in 2020 but the 22-year-old is no stranger to the Firebirds setup.

Teammates Kim Ravaillion and Gabi Simpson have gone from babysitting duties to close friends, watching first-hand as Gardner's netball star rose from player of the championship honours at 19U national championship level to debuting in the SSN against Sunshine Coast Lightning star Laura Langman in 2019.

Driven by a fierce desire to win and blessed with speed and a knack for reading the play, Gardner has been a key plank of the ACU Brisbane North Cougars success in the Sapphire Series and is entering 2023 determined to make her second time around as a fulltime player a memorable one.
