Katie Walker is a Queenslander who knows exactly what it means to wear the purple dress, playing for the Queensland Firebirds in the Commonwealth Bank Trophy and ANZ Championship in 2007 and 2008 . As a former Firebird, Katie brings knowledge of the culture, history and what it means to be a Queensland Firebird. Katie is an inspirational mentor to our young players; having assumed the role of player, coach, umpire, selector and commentator across her 37-year netball career. Leading by example on and off the court, Katie will complement the coaching prowess of Roselee Jencke nicely.
