Ball Crew Supervisor

Position Description

The Queensland Firebirds are looking for enthusiastic, energetic and reliable members of the our purple community to be Ball Crew for the 2020 Suncorp Super Netball season. This position requires candidates who can follow clear directions from the Event Operations Manager and can lead and manage a team, ensuring the efficiency and maintenance of Field of Play. 

About the role

Responsible for leading and managing the Ball Crew to ensure the maintenance of the Field of Play throughout the game.

Report Relationships

Reports to the Workforce Coordinator, Event Coordinator and Event Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Match

  • Arrive at venue one hour and 15 minutes (1.15) before the start of the game
  • Sign in and collect accreditation for Ball Crew team from Workforce Coordinator
  • Coordinate a team of four (4) Ball Crew, ensuring all are present and dressed appropriately
  • Provide a briefing to the Ball Crew explaining their role for the day
  • Ensure chairs are in the correct position, courtside
  • Ensure Ball Crew are in position pre-game and during the game

During Match

  • Oversee Ball Crew duties and check in with volunteers at quarter, half and three-quarter time

Post Match

  • Escort Ball Crew back to meeting point and handover to parents. Must stay until all Ball Crew have been collected
  • Collect Ball Crew accreditation and return to Workforce Coordinator
