Two of the Queensland Firebirds long term and valued partners; AVJennings and BLKSport have recently teamed up to create an engaging activation for the Birdies home games.
In previous years the Purple Family have grown accustomed to the AVJennings ‘Player Mail’ mailboxes, an opportunity for our younger fans to speak directly to their heroes through written letters to our playing group.
With this year’s COVID restrictions at all Suncorp Super Netball matches played at Nissan Arena changing the way we interact with the Purple Family, the AVJennings team launched an innovative way to engage fans by doing a ‘lucky seat’ draw, with the winner receiving a $100 BLKSport gift card.
AVJennings an established household name, also known as, ‘your community developer’ has certainly impressed our Firebirds community at our recent home games.
Long term passionate Firebirds member Michelle Hobb was one of the recipients of the Lucky Seat prize and expressed her thanks for the unexpected gift.
“I have to say a massive thank you to AVJennings for the $100 lucky seat prize I won at the netball yesterday.”
“With my winnings I was able to get a BLK puffer vest and a couple of visors – any opportunity to sport my Birdies colours is one worth taking.”
“I can’t thank AV Jennings and BLK enough for helping me show my support.”
BLKSport have supplied Firebirds fans with innovate and affordable purple merchandise for the past three seasons and this latest initiative was perfect alignment, with their merchandise store on the concourse at Nissan Arena so the winners could redeem their prize straight away!
Netball Queensland’s General Manager of Commercial, Ben Mannion, commended the partners on the collaboration.
“It has been wonderful this year seeing our dedicated partners ‘team up’ together to continue to change lives through netball and keep our fans and community engaged with the sport.”
“We couldn’t have delivered the season 2020 Suncorp Super Netball Season without their unwavering support.”
