Gretel Bueta
Sporting super-mum Gretel Bueta established herself as the leading goal attack in Australian netball with a stellar first full campaign following the birth of son Bobby. Returning for the Australian Diamonds in last year's Quad Series in England, Bueta claimed the player of the tournament and player of the final honours before reaching her 100-game milestone and ended as the top-ranked goal attack in the SSN. That form made Bueta a lock for Australia’s 12-strong squad for the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, during which she featured in all seven of the Diamonds’ matches on their way to gold. The 29-year-old debuted for the Swifts in 2014 but is Queensland through-and-through, growing up on the Gold Coast alongside AFL-playing brothers Kurt and Joel. Currently taking a break from playing after announcing in January she and husband Niko are expecting their second child, Bueta remains a fan favourite and will be courtside on matchdays to support her teammates.FIND OUT MORE
