Queensland Firebirds fans are set to welcome one of the world’s premier defenders with Kelly Jackson signing on for the 2026 Suncorp Super Netball season.

Standing at 192cm, the highly decorated Silver Fern brings a wealth of international experience and leadership to the Purple Family. Since making her New Zealand debut in 2017, Jackson has earned over 70 caps and is a key member of the Silver Ferns leadership group.
A three-time Dame Lois Muir Supreme Award winner as New Zealand’s best netballer and the 2022 ANZ Premiership Player of the Year, she spent five seasons with the Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic before joining the Te Wānanga o Raukawa Pulse in 2020, where she claimed two ANZ Premiership titles (2020, 2022) and the 2025 Katrina Rore MVP award.
Jackson now reunites with Firebirds head coach Kiri Wills, who guided her to a World Youth Cup crown with New Zealand’s Under-21s in 2017.
Off court, the Taranaki native enjoys time on her family’s farm and is a passionate movie buff.
