Kelly Jackson

New Zealand international Kelly Jackson returns to Brisbane for the 2027 season after a stellar first campaign with the Queensland Firebirds.

Firebird No.120 swept the club’s end-of-season awards in her debut year, claiming four honours including the 2026 Laura Geitz Medal as the Firebirds’ Most Valuable Player.

Across 13 matches, the towering 192cm defender recorded 35 intercepts - the third-highest total in the league - along with 55 deflections and 17 rebounds, quickly establishing herself as one of the competition’s most disruptive defenders.

Jackson carried that form onto the international stage in Glasgow, where she played a key role in the Silver Ferns’ gold medal triumph at the 2026 Commonwealth Games. Since making her New Zealand debut in 2017, she has earned more than 90 Test caps.

Her decorated career also includes three Dame Lois Muir Supreme Awards, the 2022 ANZ Premiership Player of the Year title and two premierships with Te Wānanga o Raukawa Pulse.

Off the court, the Taranaki native enjoys spending time on her family’s farm and is a passionate movie fan.
