Rudi Ellis

With an intimidating style of defence, aerial abilities and effective lean over the shot, Rudi Ellis will continue to develop her partnerships with the young and exciting Firebirds defensive line up as she enters her second season with the club. 

Previously, the Sydney born athlete has been part of Australian 17U, 19U and 21U squads, as well as a Training Partner with the NSW Swifts before joining the Melbourne Vixens. 

The tenacious 1.91m goal keeper oozes plenty of raw talent, coming off a premiership win with the Victorian Fury in 2019 in the Australian Netball League (ANL) and a season playing in the Suncorp Super Netball league, we are excited to see what the young defender will bring this season. 

Off the court, Rudi has completed her Bachelor in Professional Communications (majoring in sports media/journalism), and this season joins the Firebirds media team in a part time role.
