Sasha-May Flegler

Hailing from Tully in far north Queensland, Sasha Flegler is entering her third year as a Queensland Firebirds training partner.

The midcourt prospect had a bumper 2025 which included being named MVP of Bond University Bull Sharks' dramatic HPNL Sapphire Division grand final triumph and earning selection in the Australian Under-21 squad.

Flegler, whose cousin Tom plays professional rugby league for the Dolphins in the NRL, announced herself on the national stage with a series of impressive displays at the 2024 Team Girls Cup in Sydney and was again involved in the 2025 pre-season tournament in Adelaide.

Currently studying at Griffith University, Flegler was also a member of Australia's Commonwealth Youth Games gold medal triumph in 2023.
