Tara has been one of the most exciting young guns of the Queensland Firebirds since she was elevated from a training partner into the Firebirds 10-player team in 2018.
Now a four-season Firebirds veteran at 21 years of age, Tara has had a strong career.
She was a member of the Australian U21 side that travelled to Botswana in 2017 to compete in the World Youth Cup and the Australian Fast5 team at the 2018 Fast5 World Series. In 2019, Tara was named in the Australia A Development team to play New Zealand A and England A in a tournament in Auckland.
In recognition of her teamwork, Tara was awarded the 2019 Lorna Jane Queensland Firebirds Spirit Award.
We are looking forward to seeing what Tara's formidable defensive combination with Kim Jenner can bring in 2020, the pair finishing the 2019 season with a season-best performance against experienced World Cup players Helen Housby and Sam Wallace.
