Tara Hinchliffe

One of the most exciting young guns in the game, Tara Hinchliffe’s defensive abilities developed under the guidance of ex-Firebird and Diamonds Captain, Laura Geitz. 

Since her elevation from Training Partner to contracted Queensland Firebird in 2018, the talented defender has been nationally recognised on multiple occasions. 

She has been selected in teams such as the: Australian U21 World Youth Cup Team 2017, Australian Fast5 team in 2018, Australian A Development Squad 2019/20, as well as travelling to New Zealand as part of the Diamonds Squad for the Constellation Cup series this year.  

Scoring on the Firebirds will not be an easy task in 2021, with Tara joined again by stout defenders Kim Jenner and Rudi Ellis. 

Continuing her studies in Psychology Science at The University of Queensland, Tara remains busy off court with a variety of coaching roles and practical work.
