The 25-year-old has been sidelined since Round 4 this season and, following updated medical advice, a decision has been made for her to sit out the Firebirds’ fixtures against GIANTS Netball, the Melbourne Vixens and NSW Swifts.
Samoa international Abigail Latu-Meafou, who has replaced Dwan in the Firebirds’ squad for the past seven matches, will continue as her replacement for the remainder of the season.
“It’s been a very difficult time for Tippah who has been working diligently alongside our medical staff,” Firebirds Head Coach Kiri Wills said.
“As a club we’ll be wrapping our arms around Tippah and doing all we can to support her.”
The Firebirds host the Giants in a Community Round clash at Nissan Arena from 4pm on Sunday.
