The Futures took early control of the match at Nissan Arena, opening up an early seven-goal lead, but the Suncorp Super Netball experience of Olivia Wilkinson helped the visitors to a 72-59 win.
Wilkinson nailed four Super Goals for the Fever Reserves while youngster Skyla Payne was outstanding with three two-pointers of her own in a 55-point display.
For the Futures Emily Moore led the scoring with 29 points including five Super Goals but her efforts weren't enough to keep pace with the Fever who ran away with the game in the final term, winning the quarter 21-12 to claim just their second win of the season.
The defeat leaves the Futures seventh on the ladder after five matches with just one win and a draw and just two rounds remaining before the finals weekend in Sydney from June 12-14.
The Futures head to Sydney this weekend to take on the fourth-placed QBE Swifts Academy at Ken Rosewall Arena from 5pm on Sunday.
