While the result wasn't a fairytale finish as the Vixens claimed a 62-52 win, the evening was all about two-time premiership winner Ravaillion as she featured in the 157th and final match of her storied career.
Ravaillion's special night began when she was joined by daughter Georgie for the coin toss.
The biggest cheer of the night from the 4619 crowd came in the second quarter when Ravaillion hit the court for the first time as a substitute for Lara Dunkley.
The 30-year-old would go on to play 20 minutes all up, picking up three goal assists, four feeds and one pick-up.
That was before an emotional finale where Ravaillion took centre stage at fulltime to celebrate her career, receiving flowers from both the Firebirds and the Vixens in a sign of the immense respect she is held in across the game.
Saturday's match was one where the Vixens took an early lead, and despite some fighting attempts at a comeback throughout, the visitors always had an element of control in their 10-point win.
Dunkley led the way in midcourt with 16 goal assists, 33 feeds and two deflections while Ravaillion's heir apparent Macy Gardner also put in another exciting display featuring 22 feeds, three gains and two intercepts.
Donnell Wallam led the scoring for the Firebirds with 41 goals including seven Suncorp Super Shots while goalkeeper Remi Kamo recorded three gains, one intercept and three deflections.
