A record number of fans came through Nissan Arena in 2025, with four sell-out games turning our home into a sea of purple energy every week. With over 3,800 fan photos snapped with Phoenix and more than 2,600 faces painted, your support has been felt in every cheer this season.
On the court, we saw five Firebirds debuts, 710 goals and 70 super shots for a total of 850 points, while our very own Ruby Bakewell-Doran stood tall as the No.1 defensive rebounder in the league with 23 rebounds. We travelled over 20,800 kilometres representing Queensland, backed by your unwavering support, and made over 400 community appearances, connecting with our next generation of Firebirds.
“We're really grateful and humble by the support you have all shown us and for sticking with us in what has been a tough year on the court,” Head Coach Kiri Wills said.
“I, like you, would love some more wins, but I know you understand we're at the beginning of something great.
“We'll be doing all we can to come back better and stronger next year and I cannot wait to have our amazing Purple Family with us on that journey.”
Fan favourite and vice-captain Lara Dunkley was also grateful for the unwavering support throughout 2025.
“To our Purple Family – you’re unbelievable,” Dunkley said.
“You give me shivers every time I run out on Nissan Arena. It is close to the heart – every single person that shows up week in, week out - we just want to do them proud.
“The fact you’ve shown up in record numbers to support us throughout 2025 – we’re just super lucky and grateful. You’re just amazing.”
We’re excited to confirm we will freeze 2025 prices for renewing members during the renewal window in September. Keep an eye on your inbox for further details soon.
Thank you for standing with us, Firebirds family. We can’t wait to soar with you again in 2026.
