Ravaillion announced Saturday's game would be the 157th and final of her illustrious netball career and a bumper crowd will be there to hopefully send the 30-year-old out as a winner in the Firebirds' last match of the 2024 season.
The Firebirds' finals hopes were dashed with last weekend's First Nations Round derby loss to the Sunshine Coast Lightning but will need no extra motivation than farewelling a club legend in style.
The Vixens meanwhile head to Brisbane needing a win to finish in the top two and have a double chance heading into finals after losing a second straight game with last weekend's defeat to the West Coast Fever in Melbourne.
LAST TIME WE MET
An in-form and clinical Vixens were too strong for the Firebirds at John Cain Arena when these two teams met in Round 4, with the hosts claiming a 13-point win in Melbourne.
The Firebirds began solidly in a tight first quarter but couldn't keep up with the high-flying Vixens who secured a 68-55 win.
Despite the disappointing result, the match will live long in the memory of young Firebirds defender Isabelle Shearer, who came off the bench with a couple of minutes to play to make her SSN debut and become Firebird No.110.
The Firebirds also demonstrated their ongoing commitment to pride allyship during the match, wearing rainbow Pride bibs and scrunchies as part of SSN's Inclusion Round.
TEAM NEWS
The Firebirds have named an unchanged 10 from last weekend's match against the Lightning with Ravaillion having made her successful comeback from injury with her first appearance since Round 7 in that First Nations Round clash.
The Vixens have named Hannah Mundy after the mid-courter missed the loss to the Fever due to a minor quad injury.
Mundy's return in place of Ruby Barkmeyer is the only change to an otherwise settled Vixens' line-up.
KEY MATCHUP - Remi Kamo vs Sophie Garbin
Garbin has formed a formidable shooting combination with Australian Diamonds teammate Kiera Austin following her move to the Vixens after Collingwood's demise at the end of the 2023 SSN season.
The goal-shooter sits fourth on the goalscoring charts this season with 479 but has also claimed 45 offensive rebounds, showing she's providing a strong presence under the post as well as in front of it for her team.
Firebirds' goalkeeper Kamo will need to pounce on any missed attempts to deny the Vixens second-chance opportunities as well as providing pressure on the shooter to ensure the Vixens' potent attack doesn't fire.
KEY STAT
The Firebirds didn't get a win over the Lightning last weekend but Emily Moore and Tippah Dwan combined to shoot 12 Suncorp Super Shots, showing they are more than capable of providing some scoring support for Donnell Wallam.
Having managed just five two-pointers in total against the Vixens in Round 4, a similar output by Dwan and Moore as that of last weekend could prove crucial in condemning the Vixens to a third-straight loss.
LAST WORD
"Fitting that it's finishing here ... I can't wait to say thank you to those beautiful fans that have made me feel at home the whole time that I've been here." - KIM RAVAILLION on what it means to finish her stellar career in front of the Purple Family.
