Born in Iceland, where her family has a sporting legacy, Elsa Sif moved to Australia at the age of three but was initially a gymnast before taking up netball in her teens.

The Gold Coast product combines the athleticism, balance and flexibility from her gymnastics days with her height to be an imposing presence in the shooting circle. An Australian Under-21 selection, Elsa Sif made her Suncorp Super Netball debut in the 2025 season finale against the NSW Swifts at Nissan Arena to become Firebird No.117.

A 2024 premiership winner with the TAE Aerospace Jets in the HART Premier Netball League, Elsa Sif will be eager to continue her development as a training partner for the 2026 Suncorp Super Netball season.
