Jessie Laga'aia

Dynamic midcourter Jessie Laga’aia returns for a second season as a Queensland Firebirds training partner after demonstrating her readiness for the elite level throughout 2026.

Firebird No.123 produced a memorable Super Netball debut, playing the full 60 minutes in an 11-goal victory over the NSW Swifts at Nissan Arena. She made another appearance as an injury replacement before joining the Southern Steel for a guest stint that extended to the ANZ Premiership Grand Final.

Laga’aia has also been a dominant presence for the Kedron-Wavell Cougars in the HART Premier Netball League, winning the Katie Walker Medal twice and playing a central role in the club’s continued success.

A composed decision-maker and determined defensive competitor, she brings valuable versatility, experience and big-game temperament to the Firebirds’ training environment.
