Macy Gardner

Queensland pathways product Macy Gardner continues to establish herself as one of the competition’s leading midcourters and an increasingly influential figure within the Firebirds.

The 2024 Laura Geitz Medallist took another significant step in her leadership journey when she was appointed vice-captain ahead of the 2026 season.

Gardner’s continued rise was also recognised by national selectors, who named her as a training partner for the 2026/27 Australian Diamonds squad, placing her firmly on the international radar.

A mid-season calf injury disrupted her 2026 campaign, but Gardner still featured in 10 matches and increased her career tally to 61 Super Netball appearances for the Firebirds.

Blessed with speed, determination and an instinctive ability to read the play, Gardner has progressed through the Queensland pathways to become a key part of the club’s midcourt and leadership group.

Off the court, she is studying a Bachelor of Business.
