Remi Kamo

Eye-catching defender Remi Kamo is back for another year with the Queensland Firebirds in 2024 after an impressive debut Suncorp Super Netball campaign in 2023.

After realising a childhood dream with her debut for the Firebirds in the 2023 season opener against Adelaide, Kamo went on to appear in all 14 of the club's games last year reuniting a defensive pairing with Ruby Bakewell-Doran that had been established at HART Sapphire Series level.

Kamo's debut season included several notable displays including a Player of the Match performance in the Round 11 win over Giants Netball in Sydney where she recorded nine gains, five intercepts, five deflections and two rebounds.

A psychologist off the court, Kamo will be eager build her connection with Bakewell-Doran as she heads into a second season in purple with increased confidence and belief.
