Experienced New Zealand shooter Te Paea Selby-Rickit joins the Queensland Firebirds for the 2026 Suncorp Super Netball season, bringing world-class know-how and versatility to the club’s attacking end.

A two-time Commonwealth Games representative (2018, 2022) and member of the Silver Ferns’ 2019 World Cup-winning squad, Te Paea has earned 66 international caps since her 2016 debut. 
Selby-Rickit played a leading role in the Tactix maiden’s ANZ Premiership in 2025 having joined the club in 2020 after nine seasons with the Southern Steel.
Confident and adaptable in both shooting roles, she combines accuracy with creative playmaking. 
Off court, Te Paea is a qualified teacher who enjoys basketball, tennis and music.
