The Firebirds will also be without Imogen Allison for Saturday’s home match against the NSW Swifts at Nissan Arena with the English international to sit out the match due to ankle soreness.
2024 Laura Geitz medallist Gardner suffered her injury late in last Sunday’s four-point loss to the West Coast Fever in Perth but is expected to return to court in approximately four weeks.
Allison’s omission is largely precautionary, and it is expected the 27-year-old will be fit to return for the Round 7 match against the Melbourne Mavericks at Nissan Arena on April 26.
The Firebirds will release their matchday squad to face the Swifts on Friday morning.
