The Queensland Firebirds have received a huge boost to finish the Suncorp Super Netball League season, with their final three games to be played on their home court at Nissan Arena.
On Saturday the league confirmed it had locked in the final three rounds as part of a condensed season, also revealing the schedule for finals.
The Firebirds will take on West Coast Fever at 6:30pm on Tuesday at Nissan Arena in a highly anticipated clash with both teams fighting for fourth spot.
Then just two days later, the Firebirds will return to Nissan Arena on Thursday to host the Collingwood Magpies at 6pm, in what will be the Firebirds last official home game of 2021.
The Firebirds will close out the regular season by going head-to-head with the Melbourne Vixens on Wednesday, August 4 at 6:30pm.
“We have worked closely with all eight teams, as well as broadcasters and other partners, to lock in the fixture for the remaining three rounds of the home and away season,” said Netball Australia CEO Kelly Ryan.
“There is no doubt it has been challenging, but we continue to adapt under the circumstances.
“I’d like to thank our teams, staff, umpires and stakeholders, including broadcasters, for their sacrifice and determination.”
The league is working through ticketing, with the aim to have as many matches open to fans as possible.
All matches will be broadcast on Channel 9 or Telstra TV and via the Netball Live app, giving fans across the country the opportunity to watch the world’s best netball league live.
