NETBALL Queensland and the Queensland Firebirds are thrilled to extend their official partnership with Demi International for a second year.
A government-accredited academy, Demi International offers nationally recognised qualifications in Hairdressing, Barbering, Beauty, Makeup, Massage, and Nail Technology throughout Queensland.
The education provider is not only for school leavers but also offers opportunities to a growing amount of mature-aged students and those seeking to pivot their existing careers. Demi International provides 'learning that fits in with life' with courses requiring 1-2 days of face-to-face training; allowing cohorts to meet the demands of life by continuing to earn an income while gaining their qualification.
Partnering with NQ and the Firebirds aims to enable Demi to showcase the possibilities of what can be achieved through VET Education, mentoring and community partnerships.
NQ’s strong community and regional reach allows Demi to drive awareness and enrolments for future students.
“Like Netball Queensland and the famed Queensland Firebirds, we strive for excellence in all that we do,” Demi International CEO Ann Donnarumma said.
“Collaborating with high-performing teams to drive change is our number one goal.
“From the netball court to the classroom, we’ll support people of all ages to realise their potential, train for change and aim for victory.”
The partnership has already given students the opportunity to foster their skills with Firebirds athletes such as captain Kim Ravaillion and vice-captain Lara Dunkley.
Superstar goal attack Gretel Bueta has also worked as an appointed Firebirds ambassador for Demi International, attending events and raising awareness throughout the community.
Demi International currently has six campus locations across Queensland and NSW in Brisbane, Gold Coast, Ipswich, Toowoomba, Cairns, Sunshine Coast, and Sydney.
