Isabelle Shearer

Proud Rockhampton product Isabelle Shearer has established herself as an important member of the Firebirds’ defensive unit across her first three seasons in Purple.

Shearer initially joined the Firebirds environment as a training partner ahead of the 2023 season before earning elevation to the full playing roster. She officially became Firebird No.110 when she made her Suncorp Super Netball debut in 2024.

Since then, the athletic defender has made 31 Super Netball appearances for the club, holding her own against some of the world’s leading shooters and continuing to grow in confidence at the elite level.

Equally capable at goalkeeper or goal defence, Shearer combines height, reach and athleticism to disrupt opposition attacking lines and create opportunities for her teammates.

A Queensland pathways product, she represented the state at 19U level and featured for the Queensland Sapphires before progressing into the Firebirds program.
